My Ricoh GR III camera shows up in Mac Photos when connected however none of the photos are loaded. There is some issue with the type of connection to the Mac.
The easy workaround is running Image Capture.app (just do a search for image capture in the search function on the Mac) and you can download the photos from Image Capture directly to Photos.
